The bombers will kill the opposing fighters using Dual Proton Torpedoes ( ) earning credit toward the needed 50 kills. The player on each side attempting the achievement will select a base model Tie Bomber or Y-Wing when returning while others select a fighter or intercept class vehicle - not a bomber. Under Multiplayer, squad leaders should coordinate searching for a Hero Starfighter match from within the Heroes And Villains tab.Īt match start, all but one Hero on each team will crash. Update 2: As pointed out by Fooga, a good alternative for those who aren't into Starfighter Assault can use the bomber class ships on Galactic Assault by bombing enemy players on the ground one well placed torpedo said to be a one-hit kill.ĭesignate the two players whose resulting pings are most similar as squad leaders and have them create an in-game squad each **.

Oh, lastly, any hero ships that have the dual proton torpedoes won't count toward the achievement, from what I heard, so stick with the bomber class. Update: The newest Starfighter map based on the beginning scene of Episode 8 The Last Jedi also doesn't have the bomber class. If you're a Y-Wing, it does help to use the ion cannon (LB + RB) to disable the target's abilities and slow them down for a time, making them an easier kill for the proton torpedoes you'll usually be right behind them if they're stunned as such.Īt first I thought it was a glitch, but there is one map out of the initial five on Starfighter Assault that doesn't have the bomber class available for whatever reason, so if you see it then back out and search the game mode again, unless there's other achievements or career challenges you're going for on that map. It's partly luck and being in the right place at the right time, so don't get too discouraged. Just be prepared for the likelihood of other players taking your kill or the torpedoes missing their target. Unless you also have the card that makes the torpedoes stronger, you'll usually want to weaken the enemy ships down to half health first with your ship's standard blasters or other abilities before you attempt a kill with RB. If you have no cards for the bomber class whatsoever like I did for awhile, then craft that one first.

There are some cards that can help with this, particularly Advanced Target Lock. Bots count too, like the objective marked Y-Wings or Tie Bombers. For this you need to be the bomber class on Starfighter Assault, and get 50 kills with the dual proton torpedoes by using RB.
